Grammy-winning producer Timbaland has unveiled TaTa, the inaugural AI-driven artist under his new entertainment venture, Stage Zero. Described as a “living, learning, autonomous music artist,” TaTa debuts as the leading figure in Timbaland’s newly coined genre, A‑Pop—short for artificial pop—blurring the line between human and machine talent.

Co‑founded by Timbaland alongside Rocky Mudaliar and AI strategist Zayd Portillo, Stage Zero leverages the Suno AI platform to transform traditional demos into richly produced tracks, complemented by AI‑enhanced vocals and human‑written lyrics. Timbaland emphasizes the shift in creative efficiency, noting that processes that used to take months now take just days .
